About Las Vegas, NV - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!
Las Vegas, Nevada, also known as the Entertainment Capital of the World, is one of the largest and most beautiful cities in America. It is surrounded by large mountains and is positioned in Clark County. Las Vegas is the largest city in Clark County with a population of approximately 632,912 according to the United States Census Bureau. Las Vegas is the 28th largest city in the United States.
Ironically, original European-American inhabitants of the area where Las Vegas is located were Mormon settlers. These individuals arrived in Nevada in 1855 with the encouragement of Brigham Young. Their settlement was unsuccessful and after abandoning their fort, it was taken over by Octavius Gass who named the area Los Vegas Rancho. About 50 years after the group of Mormons attempted to settle in Nevada, the San Pedro, Los Angeles, and Salt Lake railroad arrived in Las Vegas. The railroad connected the city with the Pacific Railroad and the country’s main rail networks. This contributed largely to the growth of Las Vegas and in 1911 Las Vegas was incorporated as a city.
As aforementioned, Las Vegas is known as the Entertainment Capital of the World. The city is characterized by luxurious resorts, world-renowned golf clubs, famous hotels and casinos, and endless entertainment opportunities. Highly anticipated sports events, concerts, and events take place in Las Vegas almost every day. Individuals who visit the city will quickly discover why Las Vegas is known as the Entertainment Capital of the World.
It is very necessary for residents of Las Vegas to be prepared for extreme weather. The city is located in a climate where freezing temperatures are possible and extremely warm temperatures are common. These weather conditions make it necessary for residents to hire professional HVAC technicians to install heating and cooling systems in their homes. When temperatures drop at night, heating systems help residents stay warm. When temperatures rise in the afternoon, cooling systems like central air conditioning units protect individuals and keep them cool indoors.
